EPA is gathering other manufacturers used diesel cars to see if they had cheated too. They are planning to rent or borrow these cars instead of receiving them from manufacturers. I think it's a good move from EPA to see if these manufacturers are living up to the EPA standards and instead of borrowing from manufacturers because they might screw the systems just like Volkswagen.
Compensation for borrowing these diesel cars would be free oil change or car wash for testing these cars. I think Volkswagen isn't the only manufacturer to have the diesel issue, I'm pretty sure other ones would be caught the next few weeks. Someone's going to get paid.
